This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent experienced. Senior Fm or FD to join a growing successful business for a 12month contract to cover maternity leave. You will be supporting the business as part of the Senior leadership team, overseeing all financial aspects of the business and drive the group's financial strategy and planning.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Leadership and development of the Finance team.
* Safeguarding the group assets and financial resources to ensure that all are utilised to maximise profitability.
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
* Overall cash management including responsibility for cash management policies.
* Driving the financial planning by analysing its performance and managing risk.
* Lead all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
* Develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
* Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters.
* Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
* Proactively improve controls and processes.
* Work alongside our external financial advisers in managing the external audit.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and investigation of variances, ensuring the correctness of accruals/provisions.
* Act as a key business partner across the Senior Management Team, providing sound financial advice.
* Evaluation and monitoring of capital expenditure.
* Overall responsibility for VAT and PAYE.
* Insurance and risk management

* Ensuring that regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

* Support the MD in tracking performance against key financial metrics.

There is potential to be involved in future acquisitions and projects. The successful will applicant will demonstrate experience in a similar level position and exposure within an SME group environment. You will also demonstrate a proactive a flexible approach.
