As a Group Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly group management accounts and reporting pack
- Consolidating financial results from multiple subsidiaries and entities
- Preparing annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
- Providing financial analysis and insight to support business decisions
- Implementing and improving financial systems and processes
- Managing and developing a small team of finance staff
Ideally you will have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a group accounting role or looking to make your first move from an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Excellent Excel and IT skills, including experience with ERP systems
- A proactive and problem-solving approach
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- A confident and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
- A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
