Due to consistent year-on-year growth, the company is seeking to expand its team and is now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to play a key role in supporting its continued success. The financial controller is responsible for preparing management accounts, consolidating financial reports, and presenting key financial data to the MD and Finance Director. They offer financial insights to aid decision-making and supervise two junior team members, guiding their tasks and professional growth while fostering effective communication and strong leadership within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Management Accounts & Financial Reporting: Preparing detailed financial reports and management accounts for strategic decision-making.

  • Monitoring Job Efficiency & Job Costing: Tracking job efficiency and analysing costs to identify savings and improvements.

  • Preparation of Wages and Expenses: Handling payroll processing and ensuring accurate payment of wages and expenses.

  • Overseeing Subcontractor Accounts: Managing subcontractor accounts, verifying invoices, and processing payments.

  • Assisting with Company Audits: Supporting audits by preparing documentation and addressing audit queries.

  • General Accounting Duties: Performing general accounting tasks, including ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation.
