Sharp Consultancy is currently partnering on behalf of a highly reputable market leader in the Doncaster area who are looking to appoint a Financial Controller.
You will be reporting directly into the Managing Director and you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day finance leadership of the medium sized team across finance.
As part of the role you will cover all levels of finance, from leading and supporting the team to adding significant support from a strategic and commercial perspective.
Management reporting will be important, including significant project leadership and strategy management.
Other key responsibilities will include;
*Full responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively
*Preparation of monthly accounts in line with corporate reporting requirements
*Preparation of local management accounts to include Financial KPI's
*Control of rolling cash flow requirements
*Preparation monthly / annual site revenue and cost forecasts
*Responsibility for the standard costing system as and when required
*Preparation of the annual local statutory accounts
*Year end Audit management including support towards external auditors to ensure timely filings of statutory accounts
*Preparation of the sites annual budget
The opportunity will present a real chance for you to join a well-established market leader who can provide all the experience necessary to become a true finance leader at a senior level within the next 18 months.
This role would either suit somebody making their first step into an FC role or someone who has already worked at that level within a similar manufacturing-based environment.
You must be a qualified accountant and should be a driven individual, who has a real desire to develop and grow in a very hands-on and commercial business. Any experience of SOX or having worked within a SOX encompassing role would be advantageous although it is not essential although experience of Manufacturing or Engineering is.
