Financial Accountant

Job description

​We are currently recruiting a Financial Accountant role for an established global Financial Services Group. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting statutory compliance, and driving process improvements. You’ll collaborate across multiple business units, providing insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/UK GAAP

  • Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and systems enhancements

  • Support ad hoc financial projects and business analysis as required

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge

  • Previous experience in financial services or a regulated environment (preferred)

  • Excellent Excel and ERP system skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
