Wakefield based manufacturing organisation have experienced substantial growth and are looking to expand their finance function with a Financial Accountant opportunity. Ideally our client is looking for an experienced financial accountant who is either qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA.

You will have a key role within a well-established finance function giving you opportunities to work with the wider organisation and provide leadership to the Finance Operations teams.

Key responsibilities:
* Manage the year end processes including audit and financial reporting. Work alongside auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure statutory and sector requirements are completed
* Responsible for ensuring the General Ledger is accurate, having full control of the balance sheet and control accounts
* Liaising with internal / external auditors as appropriate and ensuring that agreed recommendations are implemented
* Provide strong technical support allowing the development of the finance team to deliver operational finance responsibilities
* Implement improvements to reduce transaction costs, provide safe and secure electronic solutions, a high degree of control and integrity of record-keeping.

This is an exciting prospect for a qualified accountant to demonstrate their year-end and financial accounting capabilities within a senior appointment.

Ideally you will be qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA and will have had exposure within financial and year-end accountants. Previous experience in the public sector would be beneficial but not essential.
