Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a well-established and expanding SME based in Doncaster.

 

This role provides genuine scope for development within a progressive, fast-growing business. Working closely with an experienced Head of Finance, you’ll be empowered to take initiative, strengthen your commercial insight, and play an influential role in key financial decisions as the business continues to expand.

 

The Role

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives on building relationships across the business, taking ownership of financial reporting, and driving improvements in processes and controls.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs
  • Profitability analysis and performance reporting
  • Cash management, including reconciling customer deposits and supporting cashflow forecasting
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff
  • Improve internal controls, systems, and reporting processes
  • Oversee VAT, payroll, and audit readiness
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Liaise with external advisors regarding corporation tax and statutory filings

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Curious, proactive approach with a drive to improve processes
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
