Finance Commercial Reporting Manager

Job description

​A successful and growing organisation based in Leeds currently requires a Commercial Reporting Accountant who can bring clarity, control, and commercial value to their financial reporting.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of financial decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders to support growth, improve processes, and deliver high-quality reporting.

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Producing weekly and monthly performance reports that help drive business decisions.

  • Preparing accurate management accounts with full documentation—on time, every time.

  • Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring clarity and consistency.

  • Supporting commercial teams with financial analysis and evaluating new opportunities.

  • Strengthening internal controls and improving reporting systems.

  • Collaborating with auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Building strong relationships across departments to improve financial understanding.

  • Challenging performance and contributing to strategic conversations.

Ideally you be able to demonstrate:

  • Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).

  • Strong Excel and systems skills—Sage experience is a bonus.

  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge and influence.

  • Relevant sector such as FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or similar. Ideal but not essential.

  • A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes.
