We are delighted to be working with a well-established service business based in Sheffield in their recruitment for a Finance Manager. This business has over 30 years' experience in their field and deliver specialist products and services to exceptionally high standards nationwide.

Having successfully doubled their annual turn-over over the past 3 years, there is now extra demand within the business to recruit a qualified individual to develop an in-house finance function as the business progresses into their next phase of growth. This is a newly created position that will report directly into the MD and support the wider Senior Management Team.

The newly designed role will have a predominant focus on the full production of management accounts and the creation of annual budgets and forecasts. The role has additional scope to progress into a more senior position, whilst the business is happy to mentor and support this development both personally and professionally.

This position is potentially suitable for candidates who have a clear understanding of the end-to-end financial procedures and are looking to obtain complete ownership of the finance function.

Duties will include:
* Acting as overall finance lead within the business
* Producing monthly management accounts
* Stakeholder management including operations
* Month end close including posting journals, running the systems updates and closing sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
* Development of financial systems, processes and controls
* Production of budgets & forecasts
* Weekly payroll calculations, inputs and payments
* Cash management of daily / weekly cash flow
* Ensure taxation compliance is completed on a weekly and monthly basis and annual returns to HMRC are completed in a timely manner

Person Specification:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
