Sharp Consultancy is currently recruiting exclusively on behalf of a leading government services organisation as they look to add a newly created finance leader to one of their division's functions.
This is a newly created role due to a restructure and creation of new divisions across the organisation, as Finance Manager you will take full responsibility for the financial reporting of the specialist services division and will be responsible for the team reporting into the groups Head of Finance.
Key duties will include;
-Management of the monthly accounts process
-Provide analysis of specific projects
-Maintain and improve reporting systems
-Control of budgets and the budgeting process
-Management of the forecasting procedures
-Operational day to day management of the finance operation
-Management and development of the finance team
-Senior management leadership and strategy development
-Involvement and leadership of key projects with liaisons across senior stake holders
-Development of key relationships across both finance and non-finance
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with a significant desire to progress within a commercial public sector environment at one of the strongest organisations within the South Yorkshire area.
The successful candidate will need to have effective communication skills including the ability to present and discuss financial information to senior stake holders as well as the ability to judge and manage priorities effectively and work to autonomous timescales.
