Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with an outstanding charity based in Sheffield in sourcing a Finance Manager to join their established Senior Management Team.

The role will have ownership over financial reporting, projections, annual accounts for the charity alongside managing a small team and will be expected to be engaged in the running of the finance support service on a day-to-day basis.

You will need to be qualified accountant, with experience producing and analysing budgets (including cashflow forecasts), possess good budget management alongside having the ability to communicate well with stakeholders, management team and staff across departments.

Main Responsibilities include:

*Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts to SMT and budget holders
*Oversee the production of Monthly Financial and management accounts
*Deliver projections for grant applications and oversee expenditure. Monitor staff allocations and other expenditure on grant projects
*Manage and mitigate financial risks to the charity
*Lead the Finance Team, carrying out all line management responsibilities
*Work with the Senior Management Team in producing the annual budget, financial projections and business plan for the charity and its various programmes
*Produce individual project budgets or templates as required
*Monitor corporate financial performance and key risks on an ongoing basis
*Oversee the management of creditors, debtors and supplier relationships
*Manage the annual accounts and audit process with the external accountants, dealing with audit queries
*Maintain, develop and manage comprehensive systems of financial management and control to cover all operations grant-funded projects
*Develop robust procedures around procurement and asset management, ensure their delivery by the Finance Team
*Oversee all aspects of the organisation's cash flow, including cashflow forecasts and banking needs and processes as required
*Perform accounting journal entries and control account reconciliations to ensure the financial software system is in balance
*To maintain the fixed asset register to update the P&L and balance sheet
*Generate payment runs, and maintain banking systems
