Working as part of a small finance team and reporting ultimately to the Finance Manager you will play a key part in the team in overseeing the smooth running of the Sales Ledger and Cashier functions primarily along with other duties including reconciliation work.

The main duties of the role are to include:

*Raising and sending periodic invoices to 3rd parties
*Production of reports for clients
*Assisting with the credit control function
*Raising ad-hoc invoices where requested
*Posting of daily banking to ledgers
*Maintaining the separate business bank accounts
*Following up on unallocated cash in order to tidy up ledgers
*Setting up and processing direct debit collections
*Organising regular payments to clients
*Reconciliation of bank accounts across multiple sites
*Assisting the purchase ledger function as and when required
*Providing cash reports to the purchase ledger function in order to allow them to set payment runs
*Assisting the Finance Manager with reporting and reconciliation work as and when required
*Reviewing current processes and systems with a view to improve efficiency

Ideally the successful individual will have the following skills and experience:

*Strong background in Sales Ledger and Cashier work
*Experience with SAGE line 50 or similar
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all level
*Ability to display/work on own initiative
*Motivated - working from home is very likely at the start
*Team player - maintain close working relationships with all other employees in the business to assist in the facilitation of projects
*Excellent team working skills with the ability to develop good positive working relations with the finance team
