I am recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing manufacturing business in Rotherham that is experiencing significant expansion and growth. As part of this growth, they are introducing a brand-new Credit Controller position — a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact and develop within a supportive, forward-thinking company. The Role

As the Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing and improving the business’s credit processes to ensure healthy cash flow and strong customer relationships. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Managing the sales ledger and proactively chasing outstanding debt

  • Building rapport with customers to resolve queries and secure prompt payments

  • Assessing credit risk and setting appropriate credit limits

  • Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts

  • Working closely with internal teams, including sales and finance, to resolve discrepancies

  • Producing debtor reports and supporting with processes as the business grows

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in credit control or a finance support role

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail

  • Confidence dealing with customers and managing challenging conversations professionally

  • Proactive approach with a desire to contribute to process improvements

  • Experience within manufacturing is beneficial but not essential
