This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a thriving business within the energy industry, as part of an expanding finance team.

The candidate's responsibilities will include:

*Maximise revenue, mitigate credit risk and minimise bad debt.
*Check customer's credit and approve or deny applications based on company standards and requirements.
*Build strong relationships with customers to create a rapport based on trust and mutual respect.
*Regular account reviews of aged debts to maximise cash collection and reduce aged debt.
*To liaise with external parties to manage the Debt Collection process.
*Resolve account queries both internally and externally.
*Analyse the effectiveness of the credit control system and suggest improvements / implement strategies to increase profitability and reduce bad debts.
*Strategize and provide an insight on how to improve the business across all financial departments
*To assist the Credit Control Team Leader in producing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports
*Maintaining overdue debtor days below given target

The ideal candidate with possess attributes:

*A positive can-do attitude, showing the initiative to communicate effectively across the finance team.
*Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
*Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others.
*Intermediate - strong Microsoft Excel skills
*Microsoft office efficient
*Proven ability to succeed in a complex and dynamic environment
