Credit Controller

Job description

​I am currently working on behalf of a growing engineering business based in Rotherham, a client we have built a strong and long-standing relationship with, having successfully placed a number of candidates there over time. The business is known for its excellent staff retention, with very low turnover, which is a real testament to the positive working environment and team culture they have created.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining the sales ledger.

  • Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email.

  • Building strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.

  • Allocating incoming payments.

  • Resolving queries and discrepancies efficiently.

  • Supporting month-end processes where required.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Credit Control role.

  • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional approach.

  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team.

  • Experience working with subcontractors or within construction/engineering environments would be advantageous.

  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
