Sharp Consultancy are thrilled to be working with a unique and industry leading business that is one of the largest business in their sector. They are based in Rotherham and are looking for a Corporate Accounting Analyst to join their fast-paced team.

The client is looking for an individual that will play a vital role in production and preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring accurate and timely data provision and proactive and driving development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a technical role that also has commercial aspects involved creating great exposure into all aspects of finance.

Duties and responsibilities:
*The Corporate Accounting Analysts report to the Corporate Accounting manager
*Working closely with the accounting teams they will be responsible for ensuring all accounting activities are performed in an accurate and timely manner.
*Ensure the correct financial results are reported
*Production and Preparation of Statutory accounts
*Support the Corporate Accounting specialist to maintain balance sheet reconciliations
*Support Corporate Accounting manager, ensuring achievement of strategic objectives, both local and global
*Participate in process improvement reviews with work group
*Review and challenge of results ensuring there is a continual monitoring and improvement in the controls environment around all transactional processing
*Development of a quality review of processes & procedures, driving development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
*Liaison with the external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely data provision and proactive, sustainable resolution of any audit findings
*Cohesively work with group accounting/treasury/tax to align on global corporate initiatives.
*Aid the FP&A team in various forecasting requirements and initiatives

Personal Skills
*Technical accounting skills
*Previous statutory accounting experience
*Understanding how to implement business process improvement
*Modelling, analytical and numerical reasoning skills with an ability to interpret and summarise multiple information streams
*Understanding how to implement business process improvement
