Working as part of a small finance team based on the outskirts of Leeds you will take responsibility all elements of the transactional finance function along with other areas of finance as and when needed.

The main duties of the role are to include:

*Prepare monthly board reports for the senior management team.
*Prepare P&L Accounts and Balance Sheets, providing commentary on variances.
*Prepare and process journals, accruals and prepayments.
*Prepare month end internal control reconciliations, investigate and resolve queries.
*Reconcile monthly intercompany balances.
*Create and manage KPI reports.
*Assist with inventory management and reporting.
*Assist with consolidated accounts and reports.
*Prepare information for tax management and reporting.
*Assist with budgets and forecast.
*Manage information for tax compliance reporting.
*Prepare information for the year-end audit.
*Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
*Improve controls and processes to add value and drive efficiency.

The ideal individual with have the following skills and experience:

*Previous Accounts experience including excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
*Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and to complete a job to a high standard maintaining accuracy.
*Effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks when under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
*Experience of using Microsoft packages such as word, Excel, VLOOKUP and Outlook.
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills including handling telephone queries and dealing with email enquiries professionally.
*Ability to adhere to all standard processes.
*A willingness to assist in the training of new and existing staff.
