A highly successful engineering business based near Pickering seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to start straight away.
The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of the areas of finance below:
* A good understanding of monthly close processes
* Sales Ledger and Invoicing
* Purchase Ledger 3-way matching and payment runs
* GRNI / Accruals
* Cash flow and Banking
* Time recording of staff including overtime calculations
* Cost Centre Reporting
* Work with audit teams internal and external with your areas a of expertise
* Comfortable working with the group accounting team for example agreeing intercompany balances
* Accounting in a manufacturing environment - utilisation, waste, KPI defining and measurement, efficiency, continuous improvement initiatives
* Assisting the Finance Manager with month and year-end accounts preparation
* Understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L and Reporting
* Assisting the Finance Manager with quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and 5-year planning exercises
* Computer systems and Microsoft Office literate (New ERP system being implemented)
The successful candidate will work in a team of 5, report to the Finance Manager and be encouraged to develop relationships with finance and non finance colleagues.
This is a great opportunity for someone who might be part qualified or qualified by experience to join a very forward thinking and well run business. Ideally, this role will start in June 2024 and be worked on site but some flexibility is also on offer.
