Assistant Management Accountant

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented individual to support the day-to-day operations of the Finance team. You’ll play a critical role in analysing departmental performance and assisting with the preparation of management accounts. Your contribution will ensure the Management Accountant has accurate, timely financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post accounting journals and assist with month-end close activities, including Profit & Loss reporting

  • Provide daily support to ensure efficient Finance Department operations

  • Monitor financial performance across international subsidiaries and assist with group-level reporting

  • Contribute to system improvements as new technologies are introduced

  • Help maintain and update the fixed asset register

  • Support year-end audit processes and the preparation of statutory financial reports

  • Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and provide financial analysis

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns

Desirable:

  • AAT qualified or studying toward ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels

  • Highly organized and detail-focused, with a track record of meeting deadlines

Experience with month-end processes is a plus. Ideally, you’re already progressing toward a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your finance career and take on more responsibility as you grow with the role.
