The role is for an Assistant Management Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of progression opportunities.
Reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant and other senior stakeholders you will be responsible for:
* Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
* Provide; variance analysis and underlying performance, identifying trends as well as both risks and opportunities
* Support Budget Holders to manage P&L and deliver on financial efficiencies
* Assist Budget Holders with completion of Budgets and Forecasts
* Build relationships with and act as Business Partner to Budget Holders
* Prepare and post journals for the allocation of central costs to sites
* Work closely with Financial Accounts to ensure accurate accounting and recording of income
* Partner with Budget Holders and the Financial Accounts team, to ensure purchase orders are managed and expenditure accruals are shown in the P&L as required
* Prepare and post reversing journals for accrued income, deferred income, expenditure accruals and prepayments, with clear back up/working papers for audit and control purposes
* Prepare and post adjustment journals where appropriate
* To assist with completion of year-end, statutory accounts, and audit queries as required
Candidate requirements:
* Actively studying towards qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or be keen to begin your studies
* Have excellent communication skills
* Ability to use excel to a good level
Ideally you will be studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification with the ability to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop with some career achievements to date within an assistant accountant position.
