A highly successful manufacturing company based in Bradford seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to cover a maternity leave starting January 2022 for 12 months.
The key objective for this role is to provide functional and analytical support to the Financial Controller and Transactional Support to the Credit Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
*Assisting with monthly Management Accounts preparation
*Assist with Year End Accounts
*Prepare Accruals & Prepayments
*Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*Supporting the month-end close
*Cashbook reconciliation
*Assist with Payroll function in the absence of the Credit Manager (SAGE)
*Cover for all aspects of the Credit management function in the absence of the
Credit Manager
*Accurate and timely allocation of cash to debtor's ledger
*Daily banking activities
*Cash flow forecasting
*Assisting with credit control in the absence of the Credit Manager
*VAT Returns
*P11D preparation
*Process Expenses
*Assist preparing MI for senior management
*Monitor Costs & Identify cost savings
*LEAN Analysis - Streamline Systems and Procedures
*Daily Sales Reporting & Commercial Analysis
*Aid reconciling (PROFIT) & (SAGE) 2 Accounting systems
*Monitor Working Capital
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
*Ideally you will be educated to degree Level or working towards a recognised qualification, however, if you have the practical experience required, you will still be considered.
*Excellent knowledge & capability in Microsoft Excel
*Excellent interpersonal skills/good communicator
*Flexible: able to work under pressure and handle multiple projects
