Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Doncaster, is seeking an exceptional Assistant Financial Controller to join their team in a newly created role. With substantial overseas operations, the business has built a strong market position and delivered impressive growth in recent years.

 

As part of their continued success, they are now looking for an Assistant Financial Controller who will benefit from structured mentorship and guidance. In this role, you will take ownership of management accounts, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, conduct profitability analysis, and support digital transformation projects—playing a key role in shaping the financial strategy.

 

This opportunity is ideal for qualified professionals seeking a varied role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and looking to step into a global business. You’ll work closely with an experienced senior leadership team, gaining exposure to complex international operations while receiving hands-on mentorship and contributing to strategic projects.

 

Benefits to include:

  • Salary between £55,000 - £60,000

  • 1-day WFH

  • Flexible start and finish times

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

  • 5% Company pension contribution

 

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Completion of full month-end management accounts including variance analysis and commentaries

  • Support the Finance Director in overseeing all financial operations and planning

  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system

  • Presentation of full month end pack to board members

  • Reporting Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow performance

  • Leading monthly budget and re-forecasting processes as required

  • Produce management reports to influence decision making

  • Prepare and review cashflow forecasts

  • Completion of statutory accounts

  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns

  • Ownership of capital expenditure

  • Responsibility for the completion of balance sheet reconciliations

  • Maintain and review compliance with financial bodies and regulations

  • Responsibility for the continuous review of financial processes

 

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
