The main duties of the role are to include:
*Assist Financial Controller in handling the accounting department's workflow
*Prepare Accounting reports
*Record transactions so they can be consolidated and analysed by the Financial Controller
*Make ledger entries and ensure accuracy of all transactions
*Ensuring that the records abide by financial regulations
*Reconciling Balance sheet accounts monthly
*Providing financial data or reporting to management for audit purposes
*Checking for financial irregularities, data entry errors and potential fraud
*Brings books to trial balance stage in preparation for the accountant to create financial statements
The ideal individual will have the following skills and experience:
*Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
*Excellent analytical and reporting abilities
*Ability to organise work, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
*Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format
*Ability to use mathematical skills for accurate accounting
*Computer literacy and IT skills transferable to bookkeeping software
*Customer service skills for dealing with clients or suppliers directly
