A Leeds based organisation are looking to add an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to their accounts team based on the outskirts of Wakefield.

The role is to work as part of an established team with a view to developing their career in accounts over the long term.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

* Process supplier invoices and credits for parent company and subsidiary
* Send unauthorised invoices to managers for approval, liaise and follow up to ensure processed in a timely manner.
* Liaise with suppliers for credits, delivery notes and resolution of account balances
* Process employee expenses and credit card transactions.
* Request and reconcile key supplier statements
* Monitor GRNI and action as required
* Prepare and process biweekly payment runs
* Prepare detailed invoice accruals at period end
* Review balances on purchase ledger at month end
* Control aged creditor days in-line with departmental KPI's and report monthly
* Ensure problem escalation through aged creditor/GRNI meeting with Financial Controller
* Ensure work instructions are up-to-date and available to other team members
* Support audit process as required
* Drive efficiencies in the purchase ledger contributing to finance related improvement projects.
