Working as part of a small finance team based in Central Huddersfield you will take responsibility all elements of the transactional finance function along with other areas of finance as and when needed.

The main duties of the role are to include:

* Processing electronic invoices for authorisation
* Purchase Ledger administration
* Liaising with Purchase Ledger order team, Purchasing Manager & Logistics Manager
* Liaising with suppliers
* Matching delivery notes from suppliers
* Annual budget reports for Accounts Audit
* Keeping copies of invoices for Environmental Audit preparation
* Processing of incoming statements
* Completing and sending new account applications for new suppliers
* Assisting the Assistant Accountant in various roles
* Input new supplier details onto internal system and fill in the credit account forms
* Look after the returnable packaging spreadsheet
* Managing internal debit notes & matching to supplier credit notes
* Adding/completing internal quality records when required
* Managing electronic supplier files
* Opening post

The ideal individual with have the following skills and experience:

* Previous Accounts experience including excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and to complete a job to a high standard maintaining accuracy
* Effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks when under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Experience of using Microsoft packages such as word, Excel, VLOOKUP and Outlook
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including handling telephone queries and dealing with email enquiries professionally
* Ability to adhere to all standard processes
