Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working alongside a highly successful SME who are a wholesaler business, supplying major retailers and independents. They are based in Parkgate, Rotherham. They are looking for a talented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a varied role, with a bias towards the Credit Control duties.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but not exclusive to:
Credit Control:
* Management of the sales ledgers
* Chasing of debt for 250 live customer accounts
* Raising monthly statements
* Raising payments
* Setting up new customer accounts
* Running credit check reports
* Checking credit limits and assessing increases/decreases
* Allocating cash receipts
* Resolving internal and customer queries
Purchase Ledger:
* Processing supplier invoices onto Sage
* Supplier statement reconciliation
* Supplier query resolution
* Registering supplier UK invoices, coding and issuing for authorisation on an ad-hoc basis
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Credit Control experience
* Strong communication skills and good telephone manner
* Experience of working with Microsoft Office and accountancy software
* Experience of working in a finance team environment
* Ability to work to deadlines
