Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced sales ledger Clerk/ Accounts Assistant? Do you want to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company based in Sheffield? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a brilliant engineering business that provides innovative technologies for various industries. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant with a bias towards Sales Ledger to join their finance team on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:
- Processing invoices and credit notes
- Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
- Dealing with queries from customers and suppliers
- Raising invoices
- Chasing outstanding debt
- Supporting the wider finance function
- Supporting the finance manager with month-end tasks

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or a similar role
- Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sage 200 experience would be beneficial
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

In return they are looking to offer a competitive salary of £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
