Accounts and Payroll Assistant

​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business based in Sheffield. Our client is now looking to appoint a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll, Purchase Ledger & Office Administrator to support their finance and operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and hands-on individual seeking a varied role within a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.

  • Managing the purchase ledger function, including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and handling queries.

  • Assisting with payment runs and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

  • Providing general administrative support across the office, including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence.

  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc finance and office duties as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll and purchase ledger is essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently.
