Accounts and Office Assistant

Job description

​Sharp Consultancy are working with a long standing business based in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an Accounts and Office Assistant on an initial temporary basis, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys a varied role, combining both finance and administrative responsibilities within a friendly and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger duties.

  • Supporting credit control and cash allocation.

  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general office enquiries.

  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.

  • Providing administrative support across the wider business.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar accounts or office support role.

  • Be confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Be proactive, adaptable, and able to manage a varied workload.

  • Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
