Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job description

Sharp Consultancy are looking for a meticulous and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an existing finance team in Malton. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate purchase ledger records, processing invoices and credit notes, and ensuring suppliers are paid on time. This position is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes to maintain accurate records.
  • Support the reconciliation of supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Record and allocate supplier payments onto the relevant supplier ledger.
  • Review aged creditors report to ensure timely supplier payments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Basic IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude.
