 SOX Implementation & Compliance Lead

We are looking for an experienced professional to spearhead the rollout and ongoing management of a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program for our client. This long-term engagement focuses on creating and sustaining strong internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in full alignment with SOX requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Head the end-to-end implementation of SOX compliance across the organization.

  • Develop, document, and maintain essential SOX materials, including process narratives, risk control matrices (RCMs), and flowcharts.

  • Partner with internal teams and external auditors to support testing, remediation, and certification activities.

  • Identify control gaps and propose practical, effective solutions to strengthen internal controls.

  • Monitor business process changes and assess their impact on existing SOX controls.

  • Deliver training and guidance to process owners and control performers to ensure clarity and accountability.

  • Drive quarterly and annual SOX certification processes.

  • Support the deployment of SOX-based workflow programs to improve operational efficiency.

  • Provide regular compliance updates and status reports to senior leadership.

 

Role Details

  • Location: Leeds Head Office (Hybrid – 3–4 days per month onsite).

  • Duration: Long-term engagement.

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

 

Ideal Candidate

You have a proven track record of successfully delivering SOX compliance projects and thrive on driving process improvements.
