Sharp Consultancy are pleased to be working with an established Accountancy practice based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in their recruitment for a Senior Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered for this position (3 days per week minimum).

 

Our client offers comprehensive suite of financial services tailored to individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, and charitable organisations across South Yorkshire. This firm takes a unique approach to supporting their clients, with their staff acting as true business advisors - providing strategic and commercial insights that add true value.

 

The role of Senior Bookkeeper is newly created and will support the wider finance team with maintaining accurate financial records, the preparation of VAT returns and performing bank reconciliations.

 

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Maintaining and keeping accurate and complete financial records for client's bookkeeping

  • Completion of bank reconciliations

  • Preparation of client VAT returns

  • Ownership of accounts payable and receivable processes

  • Engage with clients responding to their queries where needed

  • Additional duties to include scanning and electronic filing as and when required

 

Person Specification:

  • AAT Qualified

  • Experience of using QuickBooks, Sage and Xero Accounting software

  • Strong Accountancy Practice background

  • Given the impressive nature of this firm, I doubt this role will be around for long!
