Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job description

I am working with a fantastic business based in the Elland area who are looking to bring a new Purchase ledger Clerk into the team.

Working as part of a small finance team Purchase Ledger Clerk you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payment runs, and reconciliations. Maintain the integrity of the purchase ledger and supporting the wider finance team in delivering reliable financial information.

The main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Process around 1200 invoices a month over all 12 companies in the group using Navision Software

  • Coding and inputting invoice details

  • Sending off for payment authorisation

  • Matching delivery notes to orders

  • Checking of Statements and requesting any missing invoices.

  • Processing subcontract valuations

  • Checking all payments due, processing payments via Bac’s

  • Processing petty cash payments

We would be keen to hear from individual the following skills and experience:

  • Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Understanding of subcontract work would be very useful along with general purchase ledger processes

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

  • Experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
