An exciting and successful growing UK wide multi-site distribution business currently has an opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their expanding accounts function.

Based in head office in York you will be working within a busy team of purchase ledgers reporting to the Purchase ledger manager. You will have responsibility for assisting with the smooth running of the purchase ledger department, through understanding a wide range of accounting tasks.

*Daily processing of supplier's invoices, credit, debits, and their respective payments, in accordance with company procedures.
*Dealing with supplier queries and correspondence in a timely and friendly manner.
*Assisting with account prep for management accountants and reports.
*Working as part of a team to ensure departmental objectives are met and improved.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their accounts knowledge and skills as full in-house training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Ideally you will have previous experience of:

*Working within a fast-paced environment.
*Being IT literate specifically be able to demonstrate having proven past experience of using Microsoft Office programmes.
*Excellent communication skills as you will be point of contact for employees and external stakeholders.
*can-do attitude towards work and taking additional ad hoc projects
