Payroll Co-Ordinator

We anticipate a £28-£30k + bonus + package appointment. 25 days annual leave. This is a permanent role. It is a full time role, we imagine initially bias towards office based moving to a hybrid of office / remote working once settled

I am recruiting a Payroll Coordinator on a permanent basis for a group of companies that are continually evolving and implementing improvements to the way they manage their payroll needs.

Currently there are a 3 separate payrolls for the different companies within the group. At the moment the group uses 2 different Payroll Bureau's, although there are plans to move all 3 to 1 bureau early next year, so there are some interesting changes to be involved with almost immediately. Thereafter there are further improvement planned.

The role will cover all the day to day payroll administration and process as well as resolve all queries or errors. It will involve liaising regularly with the bureaus, maintaining the time and attendance systems, collating all payroll data, starters/leavers, annual leave, absence and producing reports for the bureaus.

All payrolls currently use Time & Attendance systems and software, but the various payrolls reflect different Terms and Conditions of employment. There are about 300-350 employees in total.

The role has a lot of potential to develop over time.

The successful candidate will reporting into a very experienced Payroll and Benefits Lead and the role is also supported by a payroll administrator part time.

The role will be in Pollington which is DN14, based very close to the M62 Motorway as well as the M18 and the A1 and so is very accessible from a wide range of locations across Yorkshire.

Duties will include

1. Support and training of Payroll Administrator
2. Collation and checking of hours from clocking systems on T&A system
3. Processing changes and updating records
4. Verification of Sickness and Holiday hours and calculation of rates
5. Administration of Court payments and Attachment of earnings orders
6. Administration of pension schemes and payments
7. Responding to payroll queries
8. Ensuring all new starter checks are completed and that records are kept up to date
9. Ensuring leaver information is kept up to date, including P45's etc
10. Submission of information through to payroll bureau accurately and on time
11. Checking of the data inputted from the payroll bureau
12. Production of internal reports on headcount etc
13. Supporting implementation of new systems and process improvement
14. Compiling information to produce P11D's
15. ONS returns
16. Ensuring compliance and guidelines are adhered to
17. Payment of Expenses claims once provided by finance
18. Other wider finance duties as and when required
