Payroll Assistant

Job description

 Sharp Consultancy are recruiting a Payroll Assistant for a well-established business in Leeds on a temporary ongoing basis.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for processing weekly and monthly payroll, maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance in line with HMRC regulations. You will handle employee queries relating to pay, tax and deductions, and prepare and submit pension contributions and other statutory returns. You will also assist with year-end processes including P60’s and P11D’s.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in payroll administration (1+ years preferred).

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.

  • Proficiency in payroll software.

  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

  • Communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
