Management Accountant

Job description

 We’re excited to be supporting a global leader in the media space in their search for a qualified Management Accountant to join the EMEA finance team. As Management Accountant, the role will take ownership of the financial ledgers for one of the European entities. This is a key role within the team, and the management accountant will have responsibility for delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and ensuring compliance with both local and group standards. The successful management accountant will play a central role in supporting business decision-making, maintaining financial controls, and collaborating with global and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.

  • Balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Provide clear commentary on financial results, variances, and key trends.

  • Manage and forecast cash flow requirements.

  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll processes.

  • Partner with regional and group finance teams on reporting, tax, and treasury matters.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly around local overheads.

  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure timely statutory filings.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and upcoming system rollouts.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified or finalist-level accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience within a multinational or complex business environment.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and controls.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and organised with a drive for process improvement.

  • Confident working independently and as part of a cross-functional, international team.

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
