What You’ll Do

  • Keep accounts accurate with bank reconciliations and manage out-of-date cheques.

  • Own the process for posting and allocating incoming payments—both electronic and manual.

  • Handle banking for office and client accounts and process CHAPS payments through our in-house Bankline system.

  • Manage credit card transactions, prepare cheque payments, and distribute them to fee earners.

  • Post bills, client-to-office transfers, and move funds securely on Bankline.

  • Respond to internal and external queries with confidence and clarity.

  • Oversee petty cash payments and reconciliations.

  • Support the team with filing and admin tasks that keep everything running smoothly.

  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintain accurate records.

  • Input purchase ledger details and office disbursements into our system.

  • Create clear, up-to-date Excel reports that help us stay on top of performance.

  • Process staff expenses monthly and assist fee earners with queries.
