The business have a strong presence in the marketplace, and as such are looking to recruit an ambitious individual, working closely with the Finance team in preparing the month end accounts and taking on further responsibility within the wider business.
The Joint Venture Accountant offers true exposure to all aspects of the department & finance overall, with a genuine commercial focus whilst developing other parts of your experience at the same time.
This position is an an integral part of their Finance team, as you will assist with accurately and efficiently processing all financial data within the Group Finance Department, exercising and maintaining financial controls and disciplines to ensure compliance.
You will support commercially with financial matters in ensuring the successful running of the Group by providing the preparation, collation and presentation of timely and accurate financial and management data.
Duties include:
*Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for each of the Joint Venture Companies and other ad hoc reports as required
*Preparation of journals and final GL balances including preparation and review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts for the Joint Venture Companies
*Preparation of development cost accounts in respect of joint venture agreements
*Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, business plans
*Assistance in monitoring and review of performance against the above plans
*Liaise with the Property Group operational team, and Joint Venture partners on commercial finance matters, including forecasting and cashflows
*Lead on the preparation and production of the statutory accounts for Joint Venture companies, and as and when required other companies with in the property group, in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the current legislation
*Support the Senior Accounting in staying close to the operational activity of the Joint Ventures by establishing and maintaining relationships within the Property Group and with Joint Venture Partners
