Interim Management Accountant in Sheffield

Fantastic opportunity to work for an IT company based in the Sheffield area as a Management Accountant for a 6-month interim period. They are looking for a qualified/part-qualified and experienced Management Accountant to support the finance function whilst they undergo a restructure due to exciting growth. You will be responsible for monitoring performance by managing financial operations, cashflows, developing budgets and forecasting. You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and Senior Management Team with commercial decision making. Due to the company's fast development, this position has the potential to become a permanent appointment.

Key responsibilities include:
-Producing monthly management accounts with commentary.
-Manage the general ledger, analysing the profit and loss
-Completing balance sheets reconciliations and ensuring they are documented monthly.
-Identifying any system improvements.
-Understanding variances between budgets and forecasts by liaising with budget holders.
-Supporting the Financial Controller with production budgets and reforecasts.
-Ensuring that controls are in place, reducing financial risks.
-Ensuring compliance with audits and acting on any discrepancies when necessary.

Skills and experience:
-ACCA / ACA / CIMA part-qualified/qualified, QBE or equivalent.
-Have experience in the same/similar role.
-The ability to use Excel to a very good standard (including V-Lookup and Macro) and experience of using an ERP system is advantageous but not essential.
-The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Fantastic problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
-The ability to communicate well across all levels of the business.
