Interim Financial Controller

Job description

 A highly successful and growing business in Leeds is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join them with immediate effect.

Reporting to the CFO, this role is to manage a small team of accountants and maintain robust financial controls / governance.

Headline tasks involve:

  • Overseeing the monthly management accounts and reporting

  • Budgeting, forecasting and presenting risk/opportunities to the board

  • Compliance re VAT, Payroll, corporate tax etc

  • Leading the year end audit process

  • Review and recommend improvements to the company’s accounting systems

  • Partnering with operational heads and influencing commercial decisions

To be considered for this position you must be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a proven track record in a similar role. You must be self motivated, have a keen eye for detail along with a bold/empathetic approach.
