Job description

A great opportunity has become available working for a long-standing manufacturing company based in the Sheffield area. They are looking for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified individual to join the company on 9-month interim period, covering a maternity leave. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller whilst joining and quickly adding value to a well-established finance team. This position involves staff management but is predominantly a hands-on accountancy role. With an immediate start being made available, this is the perfect opportunity to progress within you career and evolve your skillset, whilst working alongside a small and supportive finance function.

Key responsibilities include:
-Producing detailed monthly management accounts for the holding company.
-Reviewing the monthly management accounts for the group companies.
-Producing statutory accounts.
-Generating weekly cash flow forecasts.
-Producing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
-Completing VAT returns every quarter.
-Overseeing the payroll team.
-Producing the payroll year end.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate:
-Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
-Experience of working within a similar sector.
-At least 1 year experience within a similar role.
-Experience of using Excel to a very good standard
-Experience of using an ERP system is advantageous.
-The ability to communicate well within a team.
-Great fantastic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
