We are delighted to be working with one of Doncaster's top manufacturing businesses on a brand-new assignment for a Group Reporting Accountant. This business has established themselves as a key member of the South Yorkshire Manufacturing industry - having experienced organic growth and completing successful acquisitions over the past 5 years. Following this sustained growth, the role of Group Reporting Accountant has been created and will report directly into the Group Financial Controller.
The role will have a predominant focus on the production of group management accounts, the production of year-end statutory accounts as well as consolidating budgets and forecasts across the group. As Group Reporting Accountant you will support the Group Financial Controller as well as the development of an Assistant Reporting Accountant within the team.
This opportunity would be suitable for a qualified individual who has experience of working as a Management Accountant or Group Accountant, looking to take on more responsibility within a up and coming group of businesses who can offer scope to develop into a more senior position.
Duties will include:
* Production of consolidated group management accounts and statutory accounts for subsidiary companies including commentary
* Managing inter-company reconciliations
* Consolidating forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, along with supplementary group reporting including cashflow
* Coordinating management reporting packs for boards
* Implementing new accounting standards applicable to the Group and facilitating changes to the Group structure
* Completion of VAT returns for all companies
* Coordinating the annual external audit process - acting as an audit point of contact
* Supporting the development of the wider finance function
* Acting as a key contact for Group Finance and mentoring the Assistant Reporting Accountant
