A market-leading organisation within its sector is seeking an Interim FP&A Transformation Lead to drive a major overhaul of its planning and forecasting capability.

This role sits at the heart of a high-impact finance transformation programme and offers the chance to influence how the business plans, forecasts, and makes strategic decisions going forward.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded FP&A specialist with a proven track record of delivering finance change initiatives and leading complex projects across multiple stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have both FP&A experience (including experience of dedicated planning and forecasting tools beyond Excel), as well as systems implementation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver a full-scale transformation of budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes

  • Design and embed improved FP&A frameworks, ensuring consistency and best practice across the organisation

  • Evaluate existing processes, identify gaps, and implement more efficient and scalable approaches

  • Enhance reforecasting, scenario modelling, and budget-setting capabilities

  • Lead the selection and implementation of a new planning and forecasting system, working in partnership with Finance leadership and IT teams

  • Act as a key liaison across the business, managing stakeholders and maintaining momentum throughout the project lifecycle

About You:

  • You will bring a blend of technical FP&A expertise and strong delivery capability, including:

  • Extensive experience within FP&A, with a deep understanding of planning, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Demonstrable experience of finance-led transformation or change programmes

  • Practical experience using specialist planning and forecasting software (not Excel-only)

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

  • A hands-on, results-driven mindset with the confidence to take ownership of a critical programme

Contract Overview:

  • 12-month fixed-term contract

  • Salary circa £50,000 plus benefits

  • Immediate or short-notice start preferred

  • Hybrid working model, with weekly presence at the Sheffield office

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility role and leave a lasting legacy on how a leading organisation approaches financial planning.
