Our Client based in Leeds are a Professional services organisation with an excellent reputation both within their field and as an employer from a culture, people and development perspective. They have an opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Financial Accountant to join them for an initial 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave to join in April / May 21. The role will be remotely based initially, There is potential that permanent opportunities could arise within the organisation in the future due to future growth plans within the organisation. The role works very closely with the Financial Controller providing support on various projects and will take responsibility for ensuring the reconciliation, billing, tax compliance and overall management of the intercompany accounting process across the Group as well involvement with audit preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
Duties will include:
●Complete the monthly intercompany accounting process for this complex, International Group this will include all internal charging - ensuring group-wide charges are charged appropriately to the relevant Group entities and operating as the Finance expert, ensuring finance and non-finance colleagues are aware of and adhere to the Group intercompany policy.
●Investigate, resolve and provide commentary on intercompany differences on both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
●Work closely with the cash team to settle intercompany balances on a regular basis (reviewing any material FX exposures to reduce exchange rate risks).
●Work with Divisional Finance Managers and Credit Control to understand and report any credit risk associated with the recoverability of global client matters which are subject to the intercompany accounting process.
●Support the Group local entity statutory audits.
●Ensure transfer pricing arrangements are posted, supported by detailed "audit ready" workings.
●Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations to the various intercompany accounts and assist with business wide balance sheet reconciliations.
●Support the implementation of the new Group system (design, testing, and implementation).
This is a role that requires not only strong technical ability and a sleeves rolled up 'hands on' approach but also an individual who can demonstrate capability in problem solving and business partnering, with excellent communication skills
