Our client is a prestigious, Sheffield-based manufacturing leader seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will take ownership of statutory accounting, budgeting and FOREX processes within a business renowned for its long-standing local heritage.

The business specialises in the production of bespoke, high-precision components for a global portfolio of specialist clients, managed entirely from its expansive Sheffield headquarters. • Lead the preparation and production of consolidated statutory accounts, ensuring full alignment with FRS 102 requirements and current accounting standards

  • Maintain primary responsibility for financial accounting processes, providing critical data and technical insights to enhance the monthly management reporting suite

  • Actively contribute to the development of robust consolidated budgets and rolling forecasts to support long-term strategic decision-making

  • Drive the preparation of comprehensive year-end audit files and serve as a principal point of contact for external auditors to ensure a seamless review process

  • Support the continuous evolution of the finance function by leading the design, testing, and implementation of system modifications and internal control enhancements

  • Proactively monitor and manage foreign exchange requirements to mitigate risk across the group’s international operations
