Exceptional unique manufacturing business based in Wakefield currently have a truly exceptional opportunity for a career minded ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant to join them in a newly created role. This position will play an integral part in shaping the next few years of the company's growth and give the successful candidate unrivalled career development.

Working directly with the Head of Financial Reporting your role will blend both the financial and commercial elements of finance including:
* Management of the internal month end reporting file, including ensuring new account codes are set up
* Manage intercompany accounting process and ensure all balances reconcile.
* Completion of period-end review including monthly reporting packs for management reporting and posting period-end journals.
* Completion of monthly group reporting to group and liaising directly with them as required.
* Complete reconciliation of month end numbers to internal numbers to ensure alignment.
* Completion of additional year-end reporting requirements for the group.
* Support preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and journals for internal control
* Manage relationship with auditors and professional services firms.
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
* Manage opening and closing of month ends, and set up accounting calendars for the next financial year
* Preparation of corporation tax packs, liaising with group
* Leading on preparation of R&D tax credit claims with external advisors
* Support completion of VAT and corporation tax returns, including R&D claims
* Maintenance of group fixed asset register and adherence to fixed asset accounting policies, including additions and disposals processes. Ensure assets are being depreciated in line with internal guidance

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:
* CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
* Previous experience within audit/financial accounting within the profession OR Strong technical management accountant/financial accounting experience within fast paced dynamic organisations.
* Career focused and wanting to develop towards Financial Controller and beyond.
