Finance Administrator

Job description

Working within a small team based in Central Leeds and reporting to the head of finance, you will work as part of a small finance team with the focus being to provide admin support to the finance team and other areas of the business if needed.

Finance duties of the duties are to include:
* Checking time and account ledgers.
* Liaising with experts to ensure accurate invoices are submitted for payment.
* Liaising with experts regarding the payment of their invoices.
* Liaising with Counsels clerks regarding payments.
* Preparation and submission of interim payments to the Legal Aid Agency.
* Preparation and submission of Legal Aid bills.
* Managing department data.
* Collating supporting documents.
* Inputting data on CCMS.
* Monitor and action key Finance mailboxes to accurately process purchase invoices and employee expenses in line with company authorisation matrix
* Complete supplier statement reconciliations as provided and take action based on those reconciliations eg query invoices, chase copy invoices
* Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all queried costs are resolved in a timely manner and to maintain system approval matrix / action access requests
* Provide weekly payment proposal
* Deal with supplier payment queries / remittance requests
* Take lead on ad hoc tasks relating to Purchase Ledger including but not limited to investigating debit balances, ensuring accurate allocations of payments etc

* Flexibility to work additional hours as demands of the department may require.

The successful individual will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable in covering a number of tasks in a role that required a degree of flexibility at times.
