Credit Controller

Job description

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business on the outskirts of Sheffield, who are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of a dedicated debtor ledger, ensuring balances are actively managed and kept within agreed terms

  • Proactively chase outstanding payments via telephone and email, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

  • Investigate and resolve payment delays, queries, and discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Negotiate and agree repayment plans where required, balancing commercial awareness with risk control

  • Review customer accounts and recommend amendments to credit limits in line with company policy

  • Prepare and process credit notes accurately and efficiently

  • Support month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations

 

Essential Requirements:

  • A proven track record in managing a debtor portfolio within a credit control function

  • Strong Excel skills, ideally including experience with lookups and pivot tables

  • Target-driven, resilient, and tenacious, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced, pressurised environment

In return they can offer a salary up to £27,000. They also offer hybrid working, free parking and 25 days holiday + Bank holidays.
