Credit Controller

Job description

I’m currently working closely with a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in Doncaster that offers both long-term stability and the chance to learn, develop, and grow. As the business continues to scale, they are now looking to add a Credit Controller to their finance team — an excellent opportunity to join a company where your career can progress alongside the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining the sales ledger

  • Chasing outstanding payments via phone, email, and written communication

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers

  • Investigating and resolving invoice or account discrepancies

  • Accurately allocating incoming payments and maintaining up-to-date account records

  • Producing aged debtor reports and assisting with month-end reporting

  • Liaising with internal departments (sales, operations, etc.) to resolve queries efficiently

 

Skillset and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar role

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving

  • Comfortable using accounting software and Excel (intermediate level)

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

  • A proactive and professional attitude when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
